About dropalerts.net

A deal-alert service for enthusiast communities.

What we do

dropalerts.net monitors publicly-available product data from a curated list of enthusiast merchants and notifies Telegram subscribers when meaningful changes occur: new products, restocks (out-of-stock → in-stock), and price drops.

Each product category has its own dedicated Telegram channel. Subscribers only receive alerts for the categories they join. We currently operate one channel (mechanical keyboards) with a second category (used camera gear) in planning.

Methodology

How alerts are classified

Changes are compared against previously-observed state stored in our database, not against vendor "MSRP" or marketing reference prices. A "price drop" in our alerts means the current price is lower than the price we last observed for that specific product variant.

High-confidence alerts (new products, restocks, price drops of 10% or more) post automatically. Lower-confidence changes (3–10% price drops) are manually reviewed before posting.

Affiliate relationships

Most alert posts contain affiliate links. When a subscriber clicks a link and completes a purchase, we receive a small commission from the merchant. The subscriber pays the same price either way.

Every post discloses the affiliate relationship per FTC guidelines. We do not accept payment to post about specific products, manipulate alert timing for paid placement, or fabricate price drops. Alerts reflect only observed data.

Merchant opt-out

Merchants who wish to be removed from monitoring can email [email protected] with their domain. We will remove the source within 48 hours and confirm by reply. This policy applies regardless of any active affiliate relationship.

Limitations

Alerts are provided as-is with no warranty of accuracy, timeliness, or availability. Products may sell out between the moment an alert is generated and the moment a subscriber clicks the link. We don't control merchant stock, pricing, shipping, or order fulfillment. See Terms for full details.
